The decision to enter into therapy is a courageous and often-times complex one. I work from a core belief that we all deserve a life that is fulfilling, enriching, empowered and allows for connection and relationship. Therapy can be a useful tool for gaining self-awareness, increasing self-esteem, managing stress, getting support through challenging life transitions. Therapy offers effective ways of learning to cope with difficult emotions and helping to build strong family relationships and attachments. This involves learning to recognize and identify patterns in our life that no longer serve us and create a sense of shame and disconnection from ourselves and others. Therapy also offers healing to individuals whose lives have been impacted by a legacy of trauma.
I view therapy as a collaborative process and will partner with you in identifying your personal and/or family goals. I provide individual psychotherapy for teens (14-18) and adults. I strive to provide a warm, safe, non-judgmental, strengths-based, trauma -informed,culturally attuned and sensitive therapeutic environment. I call upon my training and experience to tailor my approach to each individual's specific needs & concerns.
