“Trauma decontextualized in a person looks like personality. Trauma decontextualized in a family looks like family traits. Trauma decontextualized in a people looks like culture.”

Kendra F. Dunlap, LMFT
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with extensive experience providing trauma-informed and culturally responsive care. I understand the profound impact trauma—whether big or small—can have on an individual’s well-being and relationships. My passion lies in creating a safe, supportive space where clients can explore life’s challenges, heal from past wounds, and cultivate healthier, more fulfilling connections. Through compassionate, individualized care, I strive to empower clients on their journey toward resilience and growth.
I welcome people from all backgrounds and am dedicated to creating a safe, supportive space where everyone feels valued and heard. I am especially passionate about working with those who are new to therapy, as well as individuals from BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) and other marginalized communities. My goal is to break down stigma around mental health, nurture resilience, and empower clients to embrace their well-being and personal growth at their own pace.
I take a strength-based, collaborative approach to therapy, tailoring my work to meet each client's unique needs. I draw from a range of evidence-based modalities, including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), attachment and relational theories, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and sensorimotor techniques. This integrative approach allows me to support clients holistically as they navigate life’s complexities and work toward healing and wholeness.
